Transportation for Veterans in Need: What's YOUR Solution?

**News Flash**: Some of our veteran transportation needs are outside the scope of many veteran transportation programs!

  • Rides to doctor's appointments outside of limited geographical transportation area 

  • Rides twice a day to commuter lot (veteran is in wheelchair and lives in a two story condo with no elevator)

  • Surgeons at VA schedule surgery times 24 hours prior so transportation cannot be arranged in advance only last minute (this is a ridiculous system I think) And VTC at the VA won't pick up the phone so we can figure out a solution. 

  • Appears to be no transportation for getting our elderly veterans and those with health-challenges out to do the fun stuff. Like the gym, water aerobics, dancing, bingo, meetups with friends, guitar lessons, pottery making etc... We have so many opportunities out here but the veterans cannot enjoy because they cannot get there. What the hay?!
